Youth Ministries
Cedartown First Methodist Youth Fellowship is dedicated to love and support the 9th thru 12th grade students and more of our community. We are currently involved in several outreach projects and supporting other CFM church programs. We love welcoming all students from any school or church in our area to join in on our weekly fun and multiple activities. Come join us at the Youth House! 6:30 Wednesday nights.
Children’s Ministries
Children are so important to the church. The sounds of babies and children in worship are sounds of life in the church! As we are called as a congregation to do at baptism, we teach our children about God and learning how He loves us. We accomplish this through classes and children’s church. Come join us!
Faith Growing Ministries
Based on a biblical foundation, we intentionally discern God’s direction for our individual walks with Christ. With small group discussion and exploration into the Word of God, we build individual’s faith brick by brick.
Cedartown First Preschool
and Early Learning Center
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.
We take that ministry to heart as we house one of Cedartown’s largest daycares
for ages newborns to 4 years old. With a focus on educational quality
and student safety, our families in our Preschool and Early Learning Center
trust their children to our church’s care.
Missions at First
The Missions/Outreach Committee maintains the Blessing Box to provide non-perishable food items for those in need. We raise funds for Life Matters Outreach through their baby bottle project. Our committee conducts a Literacy After-School Program at Northside Elementary School to help students improve their reading skills. We conduct Pac-a-Sac campaigns throughout the year to provide needed items for Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center and Our House Domestic Violence Shelter. We organize and deliver Christmas dinner for Our House staff and residents. We conduct a Spring pine straw sale to assist our Literacy project, and are in the process of forming a crises team to offer assistance to PSD’s Graduate Polk Program. We meet at least by-monthly, and welcome new committee members!
Music at First
Worship is special at Cedartown First with a focus on music. From each musical note contained within our traditional hymns sung by a full range of vocal talents, each member of our choir has their focus on the ministry of music! Our music ministry also contains a locally exclusive handbell choir that accentuates our special services throughout the year.
